The City of Cape Town’s Social Development and Early Childhood Development Department is making available aid and services to the value of R800 000 this winter, through its Winter Readiness Programme.
The programme is open to qualifying shelters who are able to temporarily increase their bed capacity to deal with the increased demand for the service during winter.

Registered non-profit organisations that offer accommodation to vulnerable groups have until 14 April to apply for aid to sustain their operations through winter, when more persons tend to seek shelter and assistance.
