DRAFT CITY OF CAPE TOWN AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN

The City of Cape Town intends to adopt a new Air Quality Management Plan in order to ensure management of air quality and the control of air pollution within the area of jurisdiction of the City and to ensure that air pollution is avoided or, where it cannot be altogether avoided, is minimised and remedied.
In terms of section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, the public and interested parties or groups are given the opportunity to submit comments, recommendations or input to the municipality from 16 September to 16 October 2023.

Special assistance will be given to people who cannot read or write, people with disabilities and disadvantaged groups who are unable to submit written comments, to have their inputs or comments recorded and submitted to the Municipality. The draft Air Quality Management Plan will be available for viewing on www.capetown.gov.za/haveyoursay, at subcouncil offices and at City libraries.
